CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a bomb threat at Myers Park High School last week.
An 18-year-old and 16-year-old are charged with making a false bomb report.
Police say the teens called a Myers Park student on Feb. 18 and claimed they had placed explosive devices at the school and would detonate them the next day.
The student notified school officials, and police searched the school, but found nothing suspicious.
Police say the student's cell phone carrier helped track down the origin of the call.
The teens were arrested Monday. They told police they knew the student and made the call as a joke.
