GASTONIA, N.C. -- Gastonia police are hoping to drum up some new clues in a missing person case that dates back three years.

Jennifer Rivkin of Kings Mountain was last heard from on May 4, 2008 when she left a voice message for a friend.

Two days later, her car was found in a restaurant parking lot on west Franklin Boulevard in Gastonia.

Now a new detective is working the case, and he hopes that a newly released picture will help lead police to Rivkin.

“The photo has been changed in the hopes that she might be better recognized by anyone who might know what happened to her,” said Gastonia Police Department Detective A.L. Fleming III in a statement.

If you know anything about her disappearance, call Crime Stoppers at (704) 861-8000.
