GASTONIA, N.C. -- Gaston County police arrested a couple accused of robbing a convenience store early Tuesday morning.

Charles Eugene Truett is accused of taking tobacco products and scratch-off lottery tickets from the Kingsway Store on Chapel Grove School Road in Gastonia.

Police also charged Truett's girlfriend, 28-year-old Elizabeth Green, with two counts of felony breaking, entering and larceny.

A surveillance camera caught 41-year-old Truett robbing the convenience store early Tuesday morning.

Both are in custody at the Gaston County Detention Center. Truett was given a $56,000 bond. Green has a bond of $2,500.
