GASTONIA, N.C. -- Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who robbed a Michael’s store last month in Gastonia.

Police say the men entered the store, in the 2900 block of East Franklin Boulevard, separately about 8:45 p.m. that night. One man took money from the safe, and the suspects left the store minutes later.

Each is a black male, about 5 feet 10 or 5-11, weighing 170 to 175 pounds. One man, believed to be in his 40s, wore a brown T-shirt, tan shorts with a striped design, black Adidas shoes with stripes, and a blue or gray-brimmed hat. The other man, believed to be in his 40s or early 50s, wore a white or tan-brimmed hat, a Hawaiian-style shirt, gray or blue jean pants, and he walked with a limp.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Gastonia police, 704-866-6880, or contact Gaston County Crime Stoppers, 704-861-8000.
