HICKORY, N.C. -- As warm weather and summer draws near, many people are looking to find affordable ways to have fun with their family and friends on the weekend.
To fill this need, the Hickory Jaycees announce the 21st season of Hickory Alive! This annual, free concert series at Union Square in Downtown Hickory will kick off on June 3, and it will run every Friday night in June and July.
Featuring local bands and rising talent, Hickory Alive is a great way to start the weekend! The Hickory Jaycees are pleased to announce this year's Hickory Alive band lineup.
June 3 - Deacon Black (Classic Rock)
June 10 - Baby Black (Pop, Rock, & R&B)
June 17 - Xerockx (80s, Glam Rock, & Hair Metal)
June 24 - The Newz (Rock & Pop)
July 1 - Chrome (Rock)
July 8 - King Biscuit Trio (Classic Rock)
July 15 - Blindvision (80s & Pop)
July 22 - Hyndsyte (Rock)
July 29 - Band of Brothers (Rock)
In addition to the free concert, food and beverage vendors will be on hand at the event. For those over the age of 21, United Beverage will provide adult beverage sales during the event. The opening act will begin at 7pm, and the main act will take the stage at 8pm. Be sure to come out and enjoy the fun this summer!
The purpose of the Jaycees is to promote and foster the growth and development of young leaders. This is accomplished by providing opportunities for members to get real-world professional experience through the management of our community involvement projects, such as Hickory Alive. The Jaycees also provide opportunities for their members to network with other young professionals, to participate in social events, and to contribute to the community and to really be a part of it.
