As a special treat this year, Rick Cline has organized a performance by the stage band of the Northview Middle School during the award-winning event. Swinging Under the Stars was recognized as "the Best Downtown Event in North Carolina" in 2009.
WHKY talk show host, Hal Row, will serve as the emcee again this year to share the history behind the music.
