LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- A man wanted for violating probation was arrested after jumping from a car and running from Lincoln County detectives.
Detectives say 22-year-old Allen Robinson jumped from a black Mercury when deputies stopped it on Highway 321.
Deputies arrested Robinson after a brief foot chase. When deputies search him, they found cocaine and marijuana in his pockets, along with $500 in cash.
Robinson was arrested on outstanding warrants of failure to appear in court and probation violation. He was also charged with drug possession and resisting arrest.
Robinson is being held in jail under $38,000 bond.
The man driving the Mercury, Christopher O’Neal Tinsley of Cherryville, was also arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license and speeding to elude arrest.
