LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- Following up on complaints of drug activity, Lincoln County narcotics investigators discovered a marijuana growing operation and an alcohol still inside a home on Monday.

Officers say Anthony Ray Perkins, 28, operated an indoor alcohol still in a bathroom inside his home on Diesel Drive in Lincolnton.

Perkins was also in possession of 16 marijuana plants, authorities say, all of which were seized from the home.

Perkins is charged with one county of felony manufacturing a controlled substance Schedule VI. He has been released on a $30,000 bond.

Alcohol Law Enforcement officers were called in to process the still operation.
