CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A Charlotte company has been selected as the builder for an upcoming episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."

The family receiving the makeover will not be announced until December 11.  Ken Kindley, president of the Lincolnton Chamber of Commerce, says there are five finalists from the Charlotte region.

“We’re hoping it’s a family from Lincolnton,” Kindley said.

Bellamy Homes has been selected as the builder on the show and they are currently looking for volunteers to help with the project.

“To make it effective we’re going to need roughly 3,000 volunteers,” said Kyle Rush of Bellamy Homes.

Anyone interested in volunteering can visit BellamyHomes.com.

Curtis and Alisha King of Charlotte were featured on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" in 2008 when their mold-infested home on Sudbury Road was rebuilt.
