LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- The Southeast Dairy Association, Carolina Panthers and Lincoln County Schools have teamed up to host the second annual Food Show to showcase food items that are currently offered on the Lincoln County Schools’ menu, as well as products that students will have the opportunity to vote to add to next year’s school menu.

The Food Show’s theme is Fuel up to Play 60, which will feature an interactive NFL area allowing students and parents the opportunity to learn the importance of exercise in combination with healthy eating habits.  Breakout sessions will cover various ideas on how to live a healthier lifestyle.

Fuel Up to Play 60 is a national partnership between the National Football League (NFL), National Dairy Council and USDA to combat childhood obesity. The program combines the excitement of the NFL with challenges, prizes and rewards that inspire kids to get active, eat right and make real changes in their schools and their lives. Fuel Up to Play 60 reaches students in more than 12,000 elementary, middle and high schools in the Southeast.
