LINCOLNTON, N.C. – A Lincolnton couple are accused of breaking in and stealing items from six nearby homes.

Phillip Norman Silcox, 31 and Shannon Eleace Pope, 24, of Buffalo Forest Road are charged with six counts each of breaking and entering, larceny, and possession of stolen goods.

Police say the couple broke into four homes on Buffalo Shoals Road, one home on Buffalo Forest Road and one home on Union Church Road between May 20 and August 19.

Both were already in jail for similar offenses that led to the new charges.

The couple was charged with second degree burglary from an incident that occurred on July 13, while Pope was charged for breaking and entering, larceny and identity theft from a June 27 incident at a home on Springs East Road.

With the additional charges, bond is set at $80,000 for each suspect.
