LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- For the first time in four seasons, Lincolnton High School football is headed to the Class 2A state title game after a 26-0 victory over Thomasville Friday night.
The Wolves led 13-0 at the break on one rushing touchdown and 89 yards of offense from standout tailback DeeDee LittleJohn, who has rushed for nearly 2,000 yards this season.
Thomasville, which won the title in 2010 over Salisbury, ends the season at 10-5, while the Wolves will move on to the title game against Tarboro to be played next Saturday night. Tarboro beat South Columbus 13-10.
