LINCOLNTON, N.C. -- The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department is looking for the person who broke into Love Memorial Elementary School.
Two bus drivers called deputies around 5 a.m. Tuesday saying they thought someone was inside the school.
Officers discovered the thieves had taken money, a master key to classrooms and damaged some equipment. A door was smashed in.
Detectives say the break-in is almost identical to another discovered Monday morning at Kiser Elementary School in Lincolnton.
