MATTHEWS, N.C. -- The Matthews Community Farmers Market opens its 20th season Saturday morning.
As in past years, the market will be on North Trade Street in downtown Matthews. Hours of operation will be 7:15 a.m. to noon through November.
The market features fresh locally grown produce; pastured meats and poultry; free-range chicken eggs; goat cheese; cut flowers; local honey; breads and baked goods; herbs; plants; and handmade crafts. There also will be weekly cooking demonstrations, live music, and other events.
