CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The members of the Plaza Midwood Merchants Association are sponsoring Holiday Central.
The event will be held the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 26, from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The family-friendly event will feature a lighting ceremony, including a tree and the Central business corridor at 6 p.m., Santa will be at the fire station for kids to visit from 3:30p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and kids can have their faces painted across the street at The Source Realty Group.
Merchants in the business district will remain open until 8:30 and will be serving refreshments and offering specials. There will be carolers, elves, musical entertainment and much merriment.
The lighting ceremony will take place in front of Zada Jane's at 6:00 hosted by a MC and Santa doing the honors.
