ROCK HILL, S.C. -- A Piedmont Medical Center employee is going to camp out on top of the hospital in Rock Hill in hopes of encouraging people to donate blood.
Robert White donated blood Wednesday afternoon and then went straight to the top of the hospital equipped with food, water and a sleeping bag.
He's going to stay on the roof until the medical center passes their goal of collecting 117 pints of blood.
The drive is in honor of local 4-year-boy Reid Douglas who was diagnosed with Leukemia last April.
If you want to give blood, head to PMC before 7 p.m. Wednesday or Thursday from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. on South Herlong Avenue.
