ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Rock Hill officials confirmed Wednesday a fire that broke out at a Rock Hill nightclub earlier this week was intentionally set.
The fire broke out at The Club Odessey off of Wilson Street near Dave Lyle Boulevard early Monday morning. Fire officials said it appears the fire started in the mechanical room, and the city of Rock Hill said the fire has been rule an arson.
No injuries were reported during the fire.
The nightclub had been closed for renovations since April 7 and police received a call about the fire at 2:30 a.m., according to the Rock Hill Herald. Damage appears to be about $35,000, the paper reported.
The cause of the fire is sill under investigation by the Rock Hill Fire and Police departments.
