YORK, S.C. -- A York County man is accused of driving while under the influence last weekend with his young daughter in the vehicle.
York police pulled over 35-year-old Christopher Gran Oldaker on Alexander Love Highway around 11 p.m. Saturday after the officer noticed Oldaker traveling in two lanes.
Oldaker pulled over after hitting a curb and almost hitting a traffic sign. Police noticed a strong smell of alcohol and found beer inside the vehicle.
Oldaker's 4-year-old daughter was asleep in the back seat during the traffic stop, according to police.
Oldaker failed several sobriety tests before being place under arrest, police said.
Oldaker was charged with child endangerment, driving under the influence and open container of beer.
The child was not injured during the incident and was released into her mother's custody.
