ROCK HILL, S.C. -- City leaf collection will be performed during the last two weeks of March this year.
Vacuum trucks and leaf collection equipment will be operating in neighborhoods during the weeks of March 21 -24 and March 28-31 on customers' normally-scheduled sanitation days. YardCarts will also be emptied on schedule.
Residents should be prepared to have spring leaves ready for pick up during that time, as this will be the last loose leaf collection until November when the regular pickup occurs again.
The city initiated the upcoming March loose leaf collection in response to several requests to extend the regular leaf season, which occurs from November through January each year.
This last collection opportunity is designed to accommodate residents with late blooming plants and to supplement spring cleanup projects through the Great American Cleanup.
