ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Rock Hill police have arrested a woman in connection with a murder at an assisted living center over the weekend.

Pauline Cook was found dead at Oak Bridge Terrace assisted living center last Sunday.

An investigation was requested by the York County Coroner’s Office after the victim’s injuries were not consistent with what initially appeared to be a fall.

On Thursday afternoon, Rock Hill police arrested Barquette Walton and charged her with murder.  According to police, Walton, is an employee at the assisted living center.  Walton was born on November 13, and celebrated her 30th birthday on the day she allegedly murdered Cook.

“This crime does not appear to be a random act of violence," Rock Hill Police Chief John Gregory said in a statement.
