CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The finest restaurants within Uptown and South End will be competing in the 9th Annual Center City Green Market’s Cookie Crumble. Celebrity judges will be looking for the best overall cookie along with kid's choice, most farmers market friendly, best made from scratch and most unusual.
The event is schedule to start at 10a.m. and end at 11a.m. Saturday, June 18 in the Center City Green Market – The Square.
Those competing are Cloud 9 Confections, Jason’s Deli, Mez Charlotte, Panera Bread, Zoe’s Kitchen, Mert’s Heart & Soul, Bonterra, Hilton Charlotte Center City, The Westin Charlotte-Ember Grille and Crave Dessert Bar. The cookies will be hot and the milk will be cold.
The celebrity judges include Francine Marie Morris from CBS radio, Croghan from Kiss 95.1, Chris Connolly from Friends of Fourth Ward and Aneesha N. Hargrave, JWU Student Chef. A number of kid judges are on tap, including all the kids who come.
Ride the LYNX Light Rail and exit at the CTC/Arena Station. Walk one block west to the Square.
On Saturday: Free on-street parking will be available along Tryon Street adjacent to the market and in the surface parking lot at the intersection of 3rd Street and Tryon Street.
