CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Beatties Ford Road branch of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library reopened Monday, almost a year after closing for renovations.
The library opened with 5,700 additional square feet, including booths designed for teens to study and a game zone. A new children's area features 18 computers, and the renovation added a community meeting room.
The library operates from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. The branch is closed Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The library is at 2412 Beatties Ford Road, a short distance southeast of Interstate 85.
