CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police are asking for the public's assistance in indentifying a man that used a handgun to rob Bev's Touch Cleaners on Saturday, June 11.

The incident occured around 2:30p.m. at 1710 Kenilworth Ave. in the Providence division of Charlotte.

Police say the suspect walked into the store carrying a white plastic bag which he then reached into, showing a black semi auto handgun to the store employee.

The suspect said "give me the money and I won't hurt you." He then took the money and before leaving, stated "don't come outside. If you do, I will hurt you."


The suspect is described as a white male in his fourties with a thin or medium build. He was wearing a light colored baseball cap, sunglasses, light colored short-sleeved shirt with a collar and light colored shorts.
