CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The public was invited to a community meeting Monday evening to talk about a proposed rezoning in SouthPark.
A proposal has been submitted to the City of Charlotte to rezone a small piece of land on ParkSouth Drive between Brighton Gardens Assisted Living and The Ivey.
The proposal is to build a five-story hotel with two additional levels for underground parking, according to zoning papers.
The meeting was be held Monday at 5 p.m. at The DoubleTree Hotel, 6300 Morrison Boulevard. A Charlotte City Council public hearing will be held Tuesday, May 14 at 4 p.m. at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center.
