CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Container Store will open on Saturday, August 13 at SouthPark Mall between McCormick & Schmicks and Neiman Marcus.
The Container Store, the nation’s leading retailer of storage and organization products, is building its first location for the company in the Charlotte area.
The Container Store is being built at the location of the former Joseph-Beth Booksellers. Joseph-Beth Group has filed for federal bankruptcy protection and the SouthPark store was demolished.
Construction began last week on the 23,000 square foot Container Store.
“We are thrilled to arrive at SouthPark; Charlotte is an obvious next step for The Container Store as we look to open in markets with a high density of our time- and space-starved customer,” said Kip Tindell, Chairman and CEO of The Container Store. “We believe Charlotte will be a successful market for our brand and are confident that SouthPark shoppers will embrace our unique mixture of fun and functional products.”
