CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Emergency crews were on scene at SouthPark Mall after debris fell from a parking deck.
The call came in to police around 5 p.m. Monday from the parking deck at 4400 Sharon Road.
A piece of concrete dropped down onto a BMW sedan parked in the garage.
Around 7:45 p.m. Monday, Charlotte Fire Department told NewsChannel 36, “…a relatively miniscule piece of concrete and grout fell during routine maintenance.”
According to CFD, there was no visible damage to the vehicle.
No one was hurt, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said there is no structural damage to the parking deck.
Monday's incident comes after the roof partially collapsed at SouthPark Mall during a severe storm on July 20.
More than 15 stores remain closed from that incident as crews work to clean the area.
