CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Children in a south Charlotte neighborhood bordering Freedom
Park found the perfect hill for sledding on Monday.

"They have probably the steepest driveway and probably the steepest hill in the neighborhood," said Luke Faulkner.

A line of children and adults took turns sliding down the hill.

"You got the fastest and the steepest, which makes it the easiest," said resident Jane Blottman.

The children were excited for a snow day.

"I was thinking we probably wouldn't have school because there were clouds starting to come in and it looked like it was going to snow," Mary Claire Poth said.
