CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg police broke ground on a new police division headquarters Tuesday.
The future home of the Steele Creek Division on Westinghouse Boulevard was displayed Tuesday.
It's located at the former police and fire training academy, and we're told it will be very accessible to the public.
“This is going to get us out into the community...to the SC line,” said CMPD captain Allan Rutledge.
The project comes with a price tag of $7 million and should be complete sometime next year.
