CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers in the University City division say they have seen an unusual amount of car break-ins in the last week.

Officers say residents should remove all valuables from cars and remove power cords and mounts from sight.

If you see suspicious activity in your neighborhood, call 911.
