CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Many of Charlotte's buildings and businesses will illuminate with special blue lights this Friday evening in support of Autism Speaks' global "Light It Up Blue" campaign.

The campaign celebrates World Autism Awareness Day, which is Saturday, and Autism Awareness Month.

In uptown Charlotte, the Duke Energy building and NASCAR Hall of Fame will light up in bright blue.

Other buildings in the area, including Earnhardt Ganassi Racing in Concord, will also sport blue lights.
