CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- We've got our city back!
The fences are down and the metal detectors are gone—in front of Time Warner Cable Arena, all was back to normal by early Friday morning.
As soon as the convention closed, city workers got going cleaning up the city, washing down the streets, taking down all those fences and barricades that kept us from going along our usual routes.
By 9 a.m. workers should almost be done.
Meanwhile, it looks like the temporary residents of Marshall Park, including many members of Occupy Charlotte, will be told it's time to go home, too.
