CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Paying for parking can be a pain in the butt, but some Charlotte entrepreneurs are trying to change that, offering drivers a way to use their cell phone to pay for parking.
“If you can use a phone you can figure out how to park,” said Khristian Gutirriez. “[It’s] more than just the mobile app, because if I asked my mom to download an app she'd laugh at me. She can call a number or text in and park that way.”
It costs 25 cents per call, but the customer doesn't typically pay that—the owner of the parking lot does.
You'll still have to pay to park, but now it will be a lot easier.
The mobile parking is available in 40 different Charlotte parking lots and 10 cities across the country.
