CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police are on the lookout for a suspect who is responsible for the armed robberies of two businesses, according to a press release from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
CMPD responded to a call of a robbery taking place at a Boost Mobile, located on the 2600 block of Central Avenue Wednesday. Upon entering the building, suspect brandished "a weapon," while demanding money from the business. The suspect then fled the scene after obtaining property, according to CMPD.
CMPD believes the suspect may have also been involved in a July 1 armed robbery that took place at a different Boost Mobile store located on the 4100 block of Monroe Road. The suspect brandished a firearm while demanding money and again, fled the scene after obtaining property, according to CMPD.
The suspect was described as a while male in his 20s, around 5-foot-9 and was last seen wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt.
