CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- "Kiss the Girls" actress Ashley Judd will host a Women For Obama Summit in Charlotte Sunday. Judd will return in September as a member of the Tennessee delegation to the Democratic National Convention.
The campaign event follows this month's launch of the national Women Vote 2012 Summit Tour, bringing together senior campaign officials, community leaders and Obama supporters to discuss this year's election.
North Carolina Treasurer Janet Cowell and Samara Foxx, Mayor Anthony Foxx's wife, also will attend the event.
The event, which will be from 3 to 4 p.m. at Central Piedmont Community College, is free and open to the public.
