ROCK HILL, S.C. – The daughter of a former presidential candidate gave her perspective to students at Winthrop University Tuesday ,with the election 49 days away.
Cate Edwards is the daughter of John Edwards. She talked about what it was like being part of two presidential elections.
She didn't take questions from the media, but did answer questions submitted by students including one about why it's so important for young people to vote.
"The more you vote especially as young people, the more people pay attention to you," said Cate
She also talked about the foundation named for her late mother, Elizabeth Edwards, who died of cancer in 2010.
