RALEIGH, N.C. -- First Lady Michelle Obama will visit North Carolina next week, making campaign stops in Greensboro and Raleigh on Aug. 1.
The First Lady will speak at UNC Greensboro at 1:15 p.m., reaching out to North Carolina supporters and volunteers about how they can help organize their communities between now and the November election. Mrs. Obama will attend a Raleigh fundraiser later that day, which will be closed to the public.
Last week, the First Lady helped launch Obama for America's new “It Takes One” program, which aims to recruit grassroots supporters nationwide for the campaign.
The Greensboro rally is free and open to the public. Tickets are required due to limited space, and will be available on a first come, first serve basis at the following locations:
