GEORGETOWN, S.C. (AP) -- Gov. Nikki Haley is getting a firsthand look at the damage caused by a fire that swept through Georgetown's business district.
The fire that broke out early Wednesday destroyed eight buildings in the city's shopping and dining district along the waterfront. The governor is visiting Thursday morning.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
Mayor Jack Scoville says that damages will be in the millions of dollars.
There were no injuries although several pets died.
