RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- The North Carolina Legislative Black Caucus has joined the chorus of Democratic leaders at the General Assembly who want leadership changes at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Caucus members held several news conferences Friday in the Piedmont calling on Gov. Pat McCrory to replace the agency's top leader, Dr. Aldona Wos.

The department and Wos have been under pressure recently for troubles with two computer programs -- a Medicaid billing system and another that determines who qualifies for government services.

This month there's been word of Medicaid cards going to wrong addresses and the federal government threatening the loss of administrative funds for food stamps.

McCrory stood by Wos this week, but black caucus chairman Rep. Garland Pierce says it's time for a new captain at DHHS.
