CHARLOTTE, N. C. -- President Barack Obama will make a stop in Charlotte next week for his Middle Class Jobs and Opportunity Tour.
The White House confirms he will be in Charlotte Thursday, but the exact details of his stop are not yet known.
President Obama said in his State of the Union address that middle class is the engine of economic growth. His tour focuses on investing more into jobs, skills and opportunity, the White House said. The president wants to endorse stable jobs for middle class families.
The president last visited Charlotte for the Democratic National Convention.
