Clinton, Trump campaigning in North Carolina this week

North Carolina is an important battleground state-- and the numerous candidate appearances make that apparent.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will campaign Thursday at a historically black university in Charlotte.

The campaign said Clinton will speak at noon at a voter registration event at Johnson C. Smith University. Clinton will also hold a private fundraiser in the city that day.

It will be a busy week for politics in North Carolina.
