Trump speaks in Charlotte

Trump makes an appearance at a private event in uptown Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- In the race for the White House, Wednesday marked 13 days until the presidential election.

Wednesday afternoon, Donald Trump spoke at an private event in uptown Charlotte. This is Trump's fifth stop in North Carolina this month.

Donald Trump said he came to Charlotte to meet with a small group of African-American community leaders. 

He did have a round table discussion before his speech here where he outlined a plan that he calls, urban renewal, an idea that was first tried out in the '60s.

He promised his plan would result in safe communities, there would be better educational opportunities and more better paying jobs.
