RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory has joined the list of politicians criticizing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for lewd and sexually charged comments recorded in 2005.
McCrory issued a two-sentence statement through his campaign Friday night., saying he condemned Trump's comments "in the strongest terms possible." The governor said he found them "disgusting."
Trump bragged about kissing, groping and trying to have sex with women who were not his wife on recordings in 2005 obtained by The Washington Post and NBC News. The celebrity businessman boasted "when you're a star, they let you do it," in a conversation with Billy Bush, then a host of the television show "Access Hollywood." Trump issued an apology.
