Racial slur rattles campus

Sketch of lynching and racial slur discovered on whiteboard inside Florida Gulf Coast University classroom.

(WBBH)  -- A racially charged slur paired with a graphic drawing scrawled across a whiteboard on campus at Florida Gulf Coast University has upset a lot of students.
University administrators say the vandalism showed up two weeks ago and the person responsible is still unknown.
Seidler Hall, which houses the College of Arts and Sciences, is open to the public. Its doors are unlocked, and anyone can come and go as they please throughout the day and night.
It was the night of October 12th when school officials and campus police believe someone came into the building to leave a hate message.
A faculty member discovered the drawing on a third-floor classroom whiteboard in Seidler Hall.
The hand-drawn image depicts a person hanging from a tree by a rope, with a violent message.
