WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) -- Five people are scheduled to appear in a Wilmington court following their arrest stemming from the shooting death of a food delivery driver.
The StarNews of Wilmington reports that two of the five are charged with first-degree murder in the June 14 death of Zhen Bo Liu. The others are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Chief District Court Judge J.H. Corpening on Friday ordered a 15-year-old held in custody until a probable cause hearing July 3.
New Hanover County Assistant District Attorney Jason Smith told a hearing that the 15-year-old was with four others when they devised a plan to rob a delivery driver. Smith said they placed an order, and two of the suspects confronted the delivery man with guns and killed him.
