CLINTON, S.C. (AP) -- A man has been arrested in the stabbing of a Clinton woman found dead in her home.
Laurens County sheriff's deputies say 62-year-old Jimmy Harrison was arrested Monday and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Authorities say Harrison used a knife and a bat to kill Debra Malone.
The 60-year-old woman was found dead in her home Thursday afternoon. Authorities say she probably died the day before after being hit in the head and stabbed in the chest, back and neck.
Coroner Nick Nichols says Harrison and Malone lived at the same address, but authorities have not given details about how they knew each other. It wasn't known if Harrison had an attorney.
