GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Two North Carolina men are dead following an early morning crash in Guilford County.
The Winston-Salem Journal reported Saturday (http://bit.ly/XcJs8t ) that Matthew Jacob Straughn of Pleasant Garden was driving a pickup truck south of Greensboro when he drove off the road.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the 20-year-old Straughn tried to swerve back onto the road, crossed the center line and struck a car driving northbound on Pleasant Garden Road, causing his vehicle to overturn.
Both Straughn and passenger Casey Lee Straughan of Julian were killed. The two men were not related, the patrol said.
It has not determined whether there was alcohol involved in the accident. The driver of the second vehicle, whose name has not been released, was injured and transported from the scene.
