MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) -- Berkeley County Sheriff's deputies have arrested two juveniles and charged them with damaging a church and setting fire to a Masonic Lodge.
Investigators say the 13-year-old and 14-year-old tried to burglarize and vandalize the Bethel Baptist Church in Alvin late last week.
The teens also are charged with setting a fire at the Laurel Hill Masonic Lodge.
Both teenagers are charged with third-degree arson, second-degree burglary, malicious injury to real property, second-degree attempted burglary and malicious injury to a place of worship.
Their names have not been released because of their ages.
The State Law Enforcement Division and the FBI assisted in the investigation.
