CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities have released the names of two people killed after a pickup truck ran into a tree in rural Colleton County.
Coroner Richard Harvey told the Post and Courier of Charleston (http://bit.ly/U9UeVP) that 17-year-old Daisha Blaine and 40-year-old Scott Eric Warren both died at the scene of the wreck that was reported just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Fire and Rescue Director Barry McRoy says the full-size Ford-F250 ran off the road and struck a tree, splitting the truck in two. Authorities say the truck was going fast when it hit the tree.
A 13-year-old boy riding in the truck bed was thrown out but suffered minor injuries.
