PICKENS, S.C. (AP) -- PICKENS, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities have recaptured one of the inmates who escaped from the Pickens County jail.
Deputies say 20-year-old Jonathan Dean Moody was found at around noon Wednesday in woods less than a mile from the jail.
Moody and another inmate, 25-year-old Ricky Lee Smith, picked a lock in a minimum security section of the jail Tuesday night. Deputies say the men then scaled a 12-foot wall and slipped through a chain-link fence to escape.
Investigators have been using dogs to track the men, with the help of about 20 officers from city, county and state agencies.
Smith has been charged with several counts of burglary, larceny and a drug offense. Moody faces charges including armed robbery, larceny and drugs.
