HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) -- Officials have released the name of the woman who died in a car fire in Bluffton.
The Island Packet of Hilton Head reported (http://bit.ly/WhmuvO ) that Deputy Beaufort County Coroner David Ott said 33-year-old Amanda Ryan of Bluffton died from smoke inhalation.
Bluffton Fire District Battalion Chief Todd Harvey says Ryan's car was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Harvey said the woman's body was found in the driver's seat after the fire was extinguished.
The Beaufort County sheriff's office says it's unclear how the fire started. But deputies say there is no indication of foul play.
